Problem Definition
Disconnected ERP and EAM Systems Creating Fulfilment Delays & Operational Risk
The client's order fulfilment process was dependent on three separate systems SAP S/4 Hana for modern ERP operations, SAP ECC for legacy back-office processing, and Oracle EAM for enterprise asset management none of which communicated with each other automatically. Every order required manual re-entry and reconciliation across systems, creating delays, errors, and a complete lack of real-time visibility across the fulfilment chain.
No automated data flow between SAP S/4 Hana and SAP ECC Order data created in SAP S/4 Hana had to be manually replicated into SAP ECC for back-office processing. This duplication introduced delays in order confirmation, inconsistencies in inventory and billing records, and excessive manual effort from operations staff to keep both systems in alignment.
No integration between SAP and Oracle EAM Once orders were processed in SAP, the relevant asset management and work order data in Oracle EAM had to be updated manually.
