Create and Use MessageTemplate In Workato
In this blog, we will see how to create and use message templates in Workato.
What is a Message Template?
- Message templates enable you to create static templates for commonly used messages.
- Message templates can be used to generate HTML/text/JSON/XML messages.
- They also allow you to separate the message composition logic (what the message should look like) from the message generation logic (when the message should be sent).
- This separation enables the template developer to change the format of the message without making changes to the recipe that sends the message out.
Step 1: Give your user credentials to log in to Workato.

Step 2: Now click on tools and then message template.

Step 7: Now we can see our message template created.

Step 8: Now click on create a project.

Step 9: Now give your project a name and description and then click on create project.

Step 10: Now you can see your project is created with the name you have given. Now click on create and then click on recipe.

Step 11: Give your recipe a name and select run on a schedule as a starting point.
